Note that there is no problem signing up multiple people using one account. An official sign-in sheet will be used in the DOJ certificaton class for the training certificate and DOJ record keeping requirements.

Also note that our Live Fire Classes are not intended to, nor will they, fulfill the CCW training requirement for a Wisconsin Concealed Carry License. The Live Fire Classes focus on shooting skills, while the DOJ Firearms Safety Class focuses on the legal issues associated with CCW and will fulfill the Wisconsin DOJ training requirement. Please be aware of this when you are deciding on which class to register for.

By registering for any class, you are certifying that you are legally able to possess firearms, and that you are not a felon, mentally ill, or under court-ordered abuse or harassment injunctions.

DOJ Safety Class

4 hours of class room instruction

Equipment needed: Gov’t issued Photo ID

This class is WI DOJ recognized to fulfill the the training requirement for obtaining a WI CCW License. The class consists of Firearm Safety, Safe Carry Considerations, Legal Implications of CCW, & CCW Licensing. This block of instruction breaks down the law and explains it piece by piece so the student leaves with an understanding of the justification for use of deadly force, as well as the components of Wisconsin’s CCW law. We also demonstrate and discuss multiple methods of concealed carry; and each method’s pros and cons.

Pistol Basics Live Fire

2 hours classroom instruction, 1.5 hour of range time

Equipment needed: Gov’t issued photo ID, quality exposed holster, handgun, at least two magazines, 200 rounds of practice ammunition, eye and hearing protection.

This class will give novice & new handgun shooters the comfort and skills they need to have basic pistol handling and marksmanship skills. Topics covered include, but are not limited to: Nomenclature, loading/unloading, cleaning and maintenance, fundamentals of marksmanship, drawing & firing from an exposed holster, introduction to shooting for self defense, and deadly force decision making.

Basic Concealed Carry Live Fire

1.5 hours classroom instruction, 1.5 hour of range time

Equipment needed: Gov’t issued photo ID, quality exposed holster, handgun, at least two magazines, 200 rounds of practice ammunition, eye and hearing protection.

This class is geared towards shooters who have a good base of pistol handling and marksmanship. In this class we will cover drawing from your preferred concealed carry method, drawing and firing while moving to cover, tactical reloads, dealing with malfunctions, quickly and accurately firing second and subsequent rounds to stop the threat, shooting from different positions, follow through considerations after the shooting has stopped, and deadly force decision making.

Combat Pistol for Self Defense

0.5 hours classroom instruction, 2.5 hour of range time

Equipment needed: Gov’t issued photo ID, quality exposed holster, handgun, at least two magazines, 200 rounds of practice ammunition, eye and hearing protection.

This class is for the experienced shooter who is proficient with a handgun. This class will build and expand upon the skills from our Basic Concealed Carry Live Fire class. In addition to skills from the Basic Concealed Class the additional skills covered will include, but are not limited to: shooting while moving (forward, back, & lateral), multiple threat engagement, shooting from cover, off hand (non shooting hand) firing, unsupported strong (shooting hand) firing, and deadly force decision making.

Utah Non-Resident Class

4 hours of class room instruction

Equipment needed: Gov’t issued Photo ID

This course meets the requirements for a Utah nonresident CCW permit.  Utah’s permit is recognized in more states than any other state’s CCW permit.  This class is perfect for anyone who plans on traveling outside of Wisconsin and will allow you to conceal carry in eleven additional states including Minnesota, Ohio, Nebraska and Louisiana.  This course is 4 hours in duration and takes place entirely in a classroom style setting.  This class will contain NO live fire or range time.  Students learn basic rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals, shooting positions; and firearm maintenance and storage.

Basic Carbine Live Fire Class

1 hour of classroom instruction and 2 hours of range training

Equipment needed: One M16/M4/AR15 weapon system with optics and/or iron
sites, sling, 3 thirty round magazines, 200 rounds of appropriate rifle ammunition, hearing and eye
protection.

Tactical Carbine Live Fire Class

15 minutes of classroom instruction and 2-1/4 hours of range training

Equipment needed: One M16/M4/AR15 weapon system with ZEROED optics and/or iron
sites, sling, 3 thirty round magazines, 350 rounds of appropriate rifle ammunition, hearing and eye
protection. THERE WILL BE NO TIME TO ZERO RIFLES IN CLASS, come with it zeroed already!

Optional Equipment: Semi-automatic pistol with quality holster, two magazines, 50 rounds of
appropriate ammunition. If you don’t have a holster to put it in, don’t bring the pistol!
